The fame of this city is known
throughout Europe, to be more precise is the heart of Portugal. As the city
gave its name to the country, in 200 BC when it was known as Portus Cale, so
with time came later to become the capital of the Condado Portucalense, from
where Portugal was formed. Today, it is known worldwide for its wine, its

Destinations Travel Awards, considered that the Customs of Porto is the best

time that the city is distinguished as such allowing to affirm that it is a
great destination to be visited besides an imperdible association between the professional
soccer team on the town that takes the name of the city beyond the walls of

FC Porto is a Portuguese club with

in 2002-03 and 2010-11, respectively; the European Super Cup in 1987 and the
Intercontinental Cup in 1987 and 2004. He is the only Portuguese club to win
the last three competitions and to achieve a continental triple: domestic
league, cup and European title (2002-03 and 2010-11). In addition, he was a
finalist in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1983-84 and in the 2003, 2004 and 2011
UEFA Super Cup editions. FC Porto is currently 11th in the UEFA club
rankings and 15th in the IFFHS world ranking.
Moreover, it is a famous sports
center in other sports modalities registered like center of sport by Olympic
athletes that already came with highlights in the previous Olympic games.
